British Transport Police is seeking a Resource Planning Officer to join the Force Resource Planning Unit. You will ensure the right people with the right skills are deployed to the right roles at the right time, in a fast-paced policing environment, maintaining data accuracy in the Origin Duty Management System and supporting day-to-day operations, events and training.

Qualifications

• Experience in dynamic planning, scheduling, rostering or resource management.
• Ability to coordinate people and workloads to support operational activities.
• Proactive planning with strong prioritisation and decision-making under pressure.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain resource plans and duty rosters to meet demand, training, events and operations.
• Manage data in Origin Duty Management System (DMS) ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as SME and first point of contact for resource planning queries and policies.
• Collaborate with operational commanders and stakeholders to identify requirements and provide cost-effective solutions.
• Support planning and deployment for major events and operations, ensuring resilience and skill coverage.
• Provide excellent customer service by handling requests through the service desk within SLAs.
