Job summary

HSBC is recruiting a Relationship Director to manage a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients with turnovers between £15M and £350M. The role focuses on delivering exceptional client service, shaping credit and product solutions, and growing opportunities across the South West and Wales.

The successful candidate will be based in Cardiff, Bristol or Exeter, blending home and office work while visiting clients regularly.

Qualifications

Experience working in Corporate Banking/Business Banking/Financial Services is essential.
Proven ability to identify and meet customer needs and manage complex lending requests.
Strong understanding of risk management and regulatory processes is advantageous.
Self-driven with ability to manage priorities and collaborate to deadlines.
Experience growing opportunities with existing and new-to-bank clients.

Responsibilities

Be an ambassador for HSBC and grow the bank's profile in the local business community.
Support customers and place their needs at the forefront, upholding world‑class standards.
Identify and nurture new opportunities and relationships for business growth.
Build a network of business introducers across the local professional community.
Adhere to credit, operational, reputation, financial crime and regulatory risk processes.
Collaborate with product partners to assess client needs and offer solutions.
