Job summary

Kier Group plc is hiring a Quantity Surveyor in the Building Solutions North team. You will support delivery of high quality projects for key strategic clients, focusing on maximizing gross margin and budgeted profitability.

Responsibilities include tendering/subcontractor management, contract variation negotiations, measurement and valuation for invoicing, and cashflow management. Strong organisation and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying desirable.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Able to work in multidisciplinary teams and supply chains.
• Flexible, team-oriented with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial resources to maximise gross margin and support budgeted profitability.
• Tender, evaluate and appoint subcontractors, and place orders for materials and plant.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate variations to contracts with customers and suppliers.
• Measure and value work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers.
• Produce monthly VCRs and End Life Forecasts, and manage cashflows.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and supply chains.
