Job summary

Kier Group in Basingstoke is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team based in Kier Places. You will manage commercial resources to maximise projected gross margin and mitigate financial risks.

You will build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners while ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled to the highest standards. 40 hours per week, 08:30–17:00, in-office. Excellent communication and IT skills required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams.
• Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying desirable.
• Experience in a similar commercial construction role.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial aspects of projects to maximise gross margin through effective contract management.
• Evaluating, recommending, and appointing consultants and subcontractors within delegated authorities.
• Measuring, valuing, and agreeing work progress to support client invoicing and supplier payments.
• Identifying contractual and commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Building collaborative relationships with clients and supply chain partners.
