Job summary

Manpower Group UK is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. You will be commercially focused, manage costs, valuations and relationships with suppliers and subcontractors across the project life-cycle.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, preparing tenders, negotiating costs, and producing monthly cost reports while collaborating with clients and project teams to maximise profitability.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred.
• HND/HNC qualification also considered with relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying/Estimating role within main contracting.
• Strong commercial awareness with cost control and client liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to identify labour, materials, plant and subcontractor needs.
• Prepare tender enquiries and obtain quotations from suppliers/subcontractors.
• Negotiate costs to keep projects within budget.
• Prepare subcontractor valuations and final accounts.
• Produce monthly valuations and track variations and changes.
• Liaise with clients and project stakeholders on rates and cost analyses.
• Attend site visits and project progress meetings.
