Job summary

Places for People in the United Kingdom is seeking a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to support value for money across asset investment projects. You will work with Investment Delivery and Contractor Management teams to maximise the impact of major works, delivering customer-focused improvements that provide best value.

The role involves managing financials across multiple projects, occasional site visits, and travel to London 1–2 times a month with expenses covered.

Qualifications

• To be successful in this role you will be commercially astute with strong project, programme, contract, safety, cost and change management skills.
• Extensive experience of managing contractors within a construction related organisation is essential.
• Hold a Quantity Surveyor qualification to degree level (or extensive relevant experience); membership of a Chartered Body is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of value for money and customer focused services across asset investment activities.
• Work with Investment Delivery and Contractor Management teams and procurement strategy implementation.
• Travel to sites and London 1–2 times per month with expenses covered.
