Job summary
Metcor Pumps in Bedford is seeking a procurement specialist to lead our national pumps division. You will take ownership of procurement across the Pumps Division, driving strategic sourcing, supplier management, stock optimisation and supply chain performance.
The role offers autonomy and a chance to build a procurement function to support a growing business. You will work with senior leadership to improve profitability, customer service and operational performance, with travel to other offices.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in procurement or supply chain
- Track record of cost reduction and value improvements
- Experience negotiating supplier agreements and terms
- Balances strategic procurement with day-to-day buying
- Experience with pumps or industrial products
Responsibilities
- Own procurement activities across the pumps division
- Develop and implement procurement strategies
- Improve supplier performance and reduce costs
- Establish procurement governance and controls
- Lead supplier negotiations
- Oversee purchasing and PO management
- Collaborate with Operations to optimise stock
- Forecasting and replenishment support
