Job summary
Sulzer Leeds site, an Advanced Pump Design and Manufacturing Facility, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the procurement function and drive world-class supply chain performance. The role focuses on complex, high-value pump packages and global projects across energy, water, industrial and renewable sectors.
The successful candidate will oversee a 5-person team, develop strategic procurement plans, manage supplier relations, and deliver cost reductions while ensuring quality
Qualifications
- Proven procurement leadership in manufacturing/engineered environments.
- Experience developing and guiding procurement teams.
- Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience with technical engineered components and manufacturing commodities.
- Understanding of MRP/ERP processes and procurement workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 5 direct reports to build a high-performance procurement function.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Manage supplier selection, negotiation and contract management activities.
- Monitor supplier performance with KPIs and supplier development programs.
- Collaborate with global procurement teams to leverage group buying power and best practice.
