Job summary

Metcor Pumps is seeking a National Pumps Procurement Manager to lead procurement across the Pumps Division. You will drive strategic sourcing, supplier management, stock optimization and purchasing operations to support a growing national business.

Youll work with senior leadership to improve profitability, customer service and operational performance, delivering measurable savings and establishing governance across procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or sourcing.
• Proven success delivering cost reduction and value improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrable experience negotiating supplier agreements and commercial terms
• Experience balancing strategic procurement objectives with day-to-day purchasing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of procurement activities across the pumps division
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, reduce costs and strengthen supply chain resilience.
• Establish procurement policies, controls and governance processes.
• Lead commercial negotiations with key suppliers.
• Establish supplier performance measures and review processes.
• Deliver measurable procurement savings and margin improvements.
• Develop strategic partnerships with manufacturers and key suppliers.
• Oversee purchasing activities and purchase order management.
• Work closely with Operations and Stores teams to optimise inventory levels.
• Improve stock availability while reducing excess and obsolete stock.
• Support forecasting, replenishment planning and working capital improvements.

About the Role

This is not a traditional purchasing role.

As the company continues to expand, we’re looking for a driven National Pumps Procurement Managerto lead our national pumps division. This is a high-impact role where you’ll you will take ownership of procurement across the Metcor Pumps Division, covering strategic sourcing, supplier management, purchasing operations, stock optimisation and supply chain performance.

This role offers genuine autonomy and the opportunity to build a procurement function capable of supporting a growing national business. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in improving profitability, customer service and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of procurement activities across the pumps division
