Job summary

Hodge Bank is seeking a Head of Procurement to lead the Group’s procurement, commercial and third-party management function from Cardiff. The role oversees strategy, policy, supplier governance and end-to-end lifecycle management to ensure value for money and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include leading negotiations for high-risk agreements, maintaining procurement registers, ensuring policy adherence and strong supplier risk management across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Procurement qualification or equivalent vocational experience.
• Substantial senior procurement, commercial and supplier-management experience.
• Experience with regulated third-party governance and procurement policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement governance and develop the group’s procurement policy and standards.
• Review key procurement actions and apply lessons learned to strengthen controls.
• Build and maintain forward procurement and renewal pipelines to maximise value for money.
• Own the end-to-end commercial lifecycle from demand through to exit and renewal.
• Provide management information and reporting to ExCo, Risk Committees and the Board on procurement performance.
• Oversee supplier risk evaluation, due diligence and first-line third-party risk framework.
• Coordinate evidence for internal audit, regulatory reviews and remediation actions.
