Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is recruiting a Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to own procurement and supply chain strategy across projects in the social housing/construction sector. You will lead negotiations, supplier onboarding and performance, and drive cost savings through smarter procurement processes.

The role requires at least 5 years in procurement management, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' Procurement Management experience.
• Construction, Social Housing or Property Maintenance background.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• CIPS / MCIPS desirable.
• Experience in supplier and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the procurement strategy.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, rebates and framework agreements.
• Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities.
• Source, onboard and manage suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage supplier performance, compliance and commercial risk.
• Undertake spend analysis and monitor market trends.
• Develop supplier reporting and performance dashboards.
• Introduce digital, automated and AI-enabled procurement solutions.
• Work closely with operational and commercial teams across the business.
