Team Jobs - Engineering in Poole is seeking a Strategic Procurement Specialist to own project purchasing and support New Product Introduction, with international supplier relationships to back production readiness.

You will work with engineering and quality teams to optimize cost, quality and delivery, spot risks early, and negotiate favourable contracts while spanning manufacturing projects.

Competenze

• At least three years' experience in strategic procurement, project purchasing, commodity management or supply chain.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing projects.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience selecting and developing international suppliers.
• Familiarity with MRP systems and supplier approval processes such as APQP, PPAP or FAI.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel internationally when needed.
• CIPS qualifications and knowledge of engineered components are highly desirable

Mansioni

• Take new products from initial sourcing through to production launch.
• Find and assess suppliers, negotiate contracts and secure competitive terms.
• Keep component costs, tooling and supplier delivery on track.
• Work alongside engineering and quality teams to ensure suppliers are ready for production.
• Spot supply risks early and find practical ways to improve cost, quality and reliability
