Job summary

HR GO Group in St Neots is seeking an Engineering Procurement Specialist to source, negotiate and purchase engineered components and services for production and engineering projects. You will focus on cost-effective procurement while ensuring quality, compliance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical or engineering procurement, ideally in manufacturing or related sectors.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and supply chain principles.
• Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Competence with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure engineered components, raw materials, tooling and services.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and BOMs for accurate purchasing.
• Evaluate supplier quotations, contracts, pricing and terms.
• Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and audits.
• Coordinate with engineering, production and quality teams for compliant items.
• Obtain volume pricing by coordinating with Group Companies.
• Maintain procurement data like lead times, pricing and inventory.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through sourcing and supplier optimisation.
• Resolve supply chain issues including delays and quality concerns.
• Support new product introduction by sourcing prototype materials.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
