Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Governance Business Partner to shape governance, risk management, and compliance across a multi-site operation.

You will bridge site payrolls with the central team, guiding acquisitions, TUPE, transformations, and governance initiatives to ensure robust controls and excellent service. The role partners with senior stakeholders across Payroll, HR, Finance and Operations, driving continuous improvement while maintaining compliant, efficient payroll

Qualifications

• Extensive senior payroll governance or business partnering experience.
• Deep UK payroll, controls, compliance and risk management expertise.
• Experience leading payroll assurance and acquisitions, TUPE.
• Strong stakeholder influencing and cross-functional collaboration.
• Payroll qualification (CIPP Diploma) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert oversight and strategic direction across Payroll, HR, Finance and Operations.
• Own regional payroll risk, controls, and continuous improvement.
• Lead resolution of high-risk payroll issues; act as senior escalation authority.
• Lead due diligence for acquisitions, TUPE transfers, and transformations.
• Shape payroll strategy via audit leadership and governance initiatives.
