Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Payroll Governance Business Partner to shape payroll governance, risk management, and compliance across a multi-site operation in the UK. You will bridge site payroll operations with the central team, guiding governance, due diligence during acquisitions, and transformation programmes while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior payroll governance/partnering roles across complex multi-site organisations.
• Deep expertise in UK payroll, controls, compliance and risk management.
• Ability to lead large-scale payroll assurance and governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert oversight and strategic direction across Payroll, HR, Finance and Operations.
• Own regional payroll risk, assurance and control frameworks with continuous improvement.
• Lead resolution of complex payroll issues as senior escalation authority.
• Act as payroll SME for acquisitions, TUPE transfers and transformation programmes.
• Shape payroll strategy through governance initiatives that strengthen controls.
