Job Description Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Merchant Services team as a Strategic Partnership Manager - New Business. You will play a key role in shaping the future of payments acceptance.

About this opportunity

A great opportunity has arisen for someone to join a growing Partnership team in Lloyds Merchant Services to help us grow our key partnerships. Using your extensive knowledge and experience in the payments space, you'll collaborate with internal sales and strategy teams to assess and prioritise a pipeline of partners (ISVs, PSPs, ISOs, PAAS, Plug-ins, etc.) which will give Lloyds an edge in our top sectors. This role involves leading negotiations, onboarding partners, and engaging with GTM teams for launches.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Identify and target applicable partnerships using your expertise across Lloyd’s top sectors
  • Lead complex negotiations, supporting legal and technical teams as needed
  • Collaborate with sales to understand and support their needs based on win/loss analysis
  • Prioritize partners based on internal needs and problem-solving capabilities
  • Support sales teams by attending meetings and conferences as an SME on partnerships
  • Onboard partners and ensure their success before handing over to the Relationship Management team
  • Align initiatives with company goals through collaboration with senior leadership
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners for long-term success
  • Represent Lloyds at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance thought leadership and strategic positioning

What You’ll Need:
  • Extensive experience in the payments acceptance industry and management experience in merchant services/gateway environments
  • Experience working with third-party organizations like ISVs, ISOs, and technology providers
  • Knowledge of UK sectors such as Hospitality and Retail
  • Understanding of technical integration challenges from partner and merchant perspectives
  • Proven success in influencing strategy at high levels
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a customer and partner-centric approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI
