Job summary

Mattioli Woods Group is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team on a hybrid basis. You will own management reporting across allocated revenue streams and legal entities, ensuring accuracy, strong controls, and timely delivery in a growing financial services business.

You’ll lead month-end close, prepare P&L and balance sheet analyses, and provide insightful commentary. A qualified accountant with multi-entity experience will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant in ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Experience in management accounting, financial reporting or control within a multi-entity environment.
• Strong understanding of P&L reporting, balance sheet control and month-end processes.
• Experience producing management accounts, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Advanced Excel skills with lookups and pivot tables.
• Experience in financial services or regulated sectors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reporting for allocated entities and revenue streams.
• Producing variance analysis and insightful commentary to explain financial performance.
• Leading month-end close activities, including journals, adjustments and reporting reviews.
• Maintaining robust balance sheet reconciliations and resolving reconciling items promptly.
• Acting as the key finance contact for reporting matters within assigned areas.
• Maintaining revenue reporting schedules and ensuring income is recognised in accordance with Group accounting policies.
• Supporting statutory reporting requirements, audit processes and finance-led projects.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and documentation standards.
