Job summary

Mattioli Woods plc is seeking a detail-oriented Management Accountant to join the Group Finance team in a hybrid role. You will own management reporting across allocated entities and revenue streams, ensuring accurate, well-controlled reporting delivered on time within a growing wealth management business.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification and strong experience in management accounting, financial reporting and month-end processes.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Experience in management accounting, financial reporting or financial control in a multi-entity environment
• Strong understanding of P&L reporting, balance sheet control and month-end processes
• Experience producing management accounts, reconciliations and variance analysis
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
• Experience in financial services, wealth management or regulated sector advantageous
• Exposure to ERP platforms or revenue-led businesses beneficial

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet for allocated entities and revenue streams
• Produce variance analysis and insightful commentary on financial performance
• Lead month-end close activities, including journals, adjustments and reporting reviews
• Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly
• Act as the key finance contact for reporting within assigned areas
• Maintain revenue reporting schedules and ensure income recognition per Group policies
• Support statutory reporting, audit processes and finance-led projects
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and documentation
