Job summary

Mattioli Woods Group is seeking a detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team. This role owns management reporting and financial control across allocated revenue streams and legal entities, ensuring accurate, well-controlled reporting delivered on time within a growing wealth management business.

You’ll prepare monthly management accounts (P&L and balance sheet), perform variance analysis, lead month-end close, maintain reconciliations, and support statutory reporting

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Experience in management accounting, financial reporting or financial control within a multi-entity environment.
• Strong understanding of P&L reporting, balance sheet control and month-end processes.
• Experience producing management accounts, reconciliations and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reporting for allocated entities and revenue streams.
• Producing variance analysis and insightful commentary to explain financial performance.
• Leading month-end close activities, including journals, adjustments and reporting reviews.
• Maintaining robust balance sheet reconciliations and resolving reconciling items promptly.
• Acting as the key finance contact for reporting matters within assigned areas.
• Maintaining revenue reporting schedules and ensuring income is recognised in accordance with Group accounting policies.
• Supporting statutory reporting requirements, audit processes and finance-led projects.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and documentation standards.
