Job summary

University of Cambridge is seeking a Management Accountant to provide monthly management accounts, variance analysis and financial advice to Estates Division managers. You will drive planning, budgeting and financial modelling to support strategic decisions.

The role requires ACMA/ACA/ACCA or CIPFA qualification (or by experience), strong analytical capability and excellent Excel skills. You'll partner with budget holders to improve processes and deliver reliable financial information.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACMA/ACA/ACCA/CIPFA) or qualified by experience.
• Experience delivering a full range of finance services.
• Experience designing financial procedures.
• Understanding of 5-Year Planning and Financial Modelling.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely financial data for budget areas.
• Advise, brief and support the Finance Manager and Estates Division senior managers on financial matters.
• Provide detailed analysis and make recommendations to support resource and financial decisions.
• Develop and improve financial planning systems, processes and procedures.
• Deliver the financial planning and budgeting process for budget areas.
• Be responsible for generating and reconciling data in the most appropriate form.
• Improve standards and efficiency of ED financial management and priorities.
