Job summary

Affinia, the UK’s fastest growing purpose-led accountancy firm, is seeking a Management Accountant to join our Cambridge team on a hybrid basis. You will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality management information, financial insight and commercial support to help clients make better business decisions.

Responsibilities include producing accurate management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, preparing year-end handovers and mentoring junior team members

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering management accounts and KPI reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and year-end handovers.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with cloud accounting.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management.
• Mentoring junior team members and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts packs with commentary and KPI reporting.
• Deliver variance analysis to support client decisions.
• Review junior team members' work and maintain technical accounting knowledge.
• Prepare reconciled trial balances and working papers.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Build and manage client relationships.
• Coach and support accountants; drive automation and process improvements.
• Communicate across platforms and contribute to wider initiatives.
• Champion technology and continuous improvement.
