Job summary

Rathbones is seeking a Lending Specialist in Liverpool on a 12-month FTC, with hybrid working arrangements. The role covers end-to-end lending from enquiry through to drawdown, engaging with high-net-worth clients and Investment Managers, and ensuring regulatory compliance across FCA CONC and MCOB frameworks.

You will assess affordability, manage risk, and deliver high-quality client service while supporting Rathbones' growing lending proposition and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in lending, mortgages, private banking, wealth management lending, credit administration or loan processing.

Responsibilities

• Manage lending applications from enquiry to drawdown, providing pre-contractual advice and affordability assessment.
• Monitor overdraft exposures and report positions through MI reports and escalation procedures.
• Liaise with clients, investment managers and internal stakeholders to handle lending enquiries.
• Issue correspondence related to new or existing lending, including statements and letters.
• Servicing loan interest quarterly and handling invoices for external fund payments.
• Ensure FCA CONC and MCOB regulatory compliance for creditworthiness and affordability.
