Job summary

St Joseph’s Hospice seeks an experienced senior leader to develop and deliver our supportive care strategy in line with the Hospice Strategy 2026–2031. You will lead service transformation, strengthen community partnerships, and expand volunteer-led services while reducing health inequalities and improving outcomes for patients and families.

You will act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Adults and Children, providing organisational leadership on safeguarding practices and governance

Qualifications

• Professional registration within a health or social care profession.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams and complex services.
• Strong strategic planning, operational management and service transformation skills.
• Experience of partnership working across health, social care, community and voluntary sector organisations.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, governance, quality improvement and regulatory requirements.
• Experience of budget management, workforce planning and service development.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of our supportive care strategy and service transformation.
• Drive engagement across diverse communities and strengthen partnerships.
• Lead safeguarding for adults and children, ensuring governance and safeguarding rigor.
• Oversee budget, workforce planning and service development across the hospice.
• Collaborate across the hospice, ICS partners and voluntary sector to ensure accessible, sustainable services.
