Job summary

Gallagher’s Commercial Broking Division in Edinburgh is seeking a talented Development Executive to join our well-established team. You’ll drive new business growth with a strong pipeline, leveraging existing relationships and a collaborative culture to deliver bespoke insurance solutions to large enterprises and multinationals.

As a Development Executive, you’ll engage with prospects, present a broad portfolio of services, and work with underwriters to secure favorable terms.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in business development and sales within insurance.
• Self-motivated and proactive with ability to generate leads.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Eligible to work in the UK and willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Actively seek and respond to new business opportunities, consistently exceeding targets.
• Focus on client needs, offering a broad range of services and products with opportunities to upsell.
• Develop new business by identifying, building, nurturing and maintaining relationships with prospects and clients.
• Attend trade-related events to identify and seize new opportunities through networking.
• Negotiate effectively with underwriters and insurers to secure the most appropriate terms for clients.
• Represent Gallagher with professionalism and integrity, building trust and enhancing our market reputation.
