Job summary

Gallagher in Belfast is seeking a highly visible Broking Placement Manager to join our Commercial Division. You will support the placement strategy across new and existing business, working with the Broking Director, Account Executives, and insurer partners to secure competitive solutions.

You will act as a key link between insurers and client-facing teams, influencing broking strategy and helping the business win, retain and grow client relationships through effective market engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial insurance broking, placement, underwriting or account management.
• Background moving into a market-facing role from placement brokers, commercial brokers, account executives or underwriters.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lines insurance: Property, Liability, Fleet.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with insurers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills with experience supporting complex placements.
• Holding or working towards Cert CII or Dip CII is desirable.
• Experience in a regulated environment with targets and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Gallagher's placement strategy across new and existing business within the region.
• Advise Account Executives and Account Handlers on broking strategy, negotiating with insurers to secure competitive placement solutions.
• Work with new business teams to position opportunities effectively and improve conversion rates.
• Build and maintain relationships with regional insurer partners, enhancing market engagement and service delivery.
• Manage and pipeline opportunities with key insurer markets for clients and the business.
• Support complex commercial placements across Property, Liability, Fleet and other risks.
• Act as the link between insurers and internal stakeholders to resolve placement challenges.
