Job summary

Impact Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager in Crick, Northamptonshire, with a base salary of £50,000 plus Commission (OTE £100,000). The role targets high-value, project-based infrastructure work and involves building a structured pipeline, qualifying opportunities, and managing long sales cycles with senior stakeholders.

You will collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure what is sold can be delivered, and you’ll drive a disciplined, CRM-driven approach to win

Qualifications

• Qualify opportunities effectively and prioritise high-potential deals.
• Demonstrate commercial acumen, understanding margins and risk.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and maintain credibility.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales process with a structured, strategic approach.
• Qualify opportunities and walk away from non-viable ones.
• Manage long, complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Develop key accounts while opening new doors.
• Build a realistic pipeline rather than chasing wishful targets.
• Collaborate with technical and ops teams to ensure deliverability.
• Lead bid/no-bid conversations with commercial sense.
• Hand over clean, well-defined projects for delivery.
• Keep CRM up to date and actionable (Zoho experience helpful).
• Represent the business with clients, partners and across the sector.
