Job summary

Educators in Wales is seeking a Temporary IDP Co-ordinator to help shape strategy for the Access and Inclusion Service and to support the implementation of the ALNET (Wales) Act 2018 and the ALN Code for Wales (2021). The post is fixed-term until 31 March 2027 and involves both policy work and hands-on delivery with a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will have experience with ALN, be able to collaborate with schools and families, and understand inclusive education practice,

Qualifications

• Understanding of ALNET (Wales) Act 2018 and ALN Code for Wales (2021).
• Ability to work with schools, families, health professionals and children’s services.
• Track record of high-quality teaching and learning practice.

Responsibilities

• Play a key strategic role in developing policies, processes and inclusive practice for ALNET implementation.
• Support development and delivery of a continuum of ALN Provision.
• Provide advice and guidance to schools on complex ALN issues.
• Contribute to effective delivery of strategic plans within the Access and Inclusion Service.
• Contribute to the Local Authority’s vision of enabling all learners to reach their potential.
