Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking an experienced School Improvement Officer (ALN, Inclusion and Specialist Provision) to lead strategic improvement across the education system. You will shaping provision for learners with ALN in mainstream and specialist settings, working closely with Headteachers, ALN coordinators, governors and partner services.

Qualifications

• Experience leading ALN and inclusion improvements.
• Credible leadership with strategic thinking and strong communication.
• Experience working with Headteachers, Estyn, Welsh Government and other senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Curriculum for Wales and ALN environment across diverse settings.
• Ability to evaluate and improve provision, outcomes, attendance and wellbeing for learners with ALN.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership for ALN and inclusion across Wrexham's education system.
• Challenge and support schools to evaluate and improve ALN provision.
• Lead improvement activity in schools requiring targeted or intensive support.
• Quality assure specialist provision, including special schools, PRUs and resource provisions.
• Support leaders to strengthen self-evaluation, quality assurance and improvement planning.
• Promote high-quality inclusive pedagogy, adaptive teaching and person-centred approaches.
• Develop leadership capacity through coaching, mentoring and professional learning.
• Use data and evidence to identify priorities, evaluate impact and drive improvement.
• Promote learner voice, family engagement and co-production.
