Job summary

M&G is seeking a Category Manager to own the HR, Recruitment and Contingent category. You will act as an internal commercial consultant, shaping strategy, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost reductions across the category.

The role involves leading negotiations and sourcing events, building category plans, and delivering insight-driven commercial strategies to optimise Spend within procurement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading category strategy in HR, recruitment and contingent staffing.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations and cost reductions.
• Strong stakeholder management at senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Build, own and execute the HR, Recruitment and Contingent category strategy.
• Maintain living category plans covering market analysis and savings opportunities.
• Lead high-value sourcing events and negotiations, including setting strategy and walk-away positions.
• Manage senior supplier relationships under commercial pressure.
• Introduce competitive tension into renewals and new commitments.
