M&G Procurement is seeking a Category Manager to lead the Enterprise Software category. You will define the category strategy, own the savings plan, and act as a trusted commercial advisor to senior stakeholders.
In this transformation journey, you will drive material cost reductions across third-party spend and shape how the business specifies and buys software. Strong negotiation and strategic sourcing experience are essential, with a track record of delivering tangible value.
At M&G, our purpose is to give everyone real confidence to put their money to work. Our two distinct operating segments, Asset Management and Life, work together to provide access to balanced, long-term investment and savings solutions. Through telling it like it is, owning it now and moving it forward together with care and integrity; we are creating an exceptional place to work for exceptional talent. We will consider flexible working arrangements for any of our roles and offer workplace adjustments to ensure you have the support you need to succeed in your role.
The Category Manager is the commercial owner of the Enterprise Software category and acts as an internal commercial consultant to the business. The postholder offers senior stakeholders three things: deep knowledge of the category and its supply market, strategic sourcing capability, and negotiation expertise. Using these, the postholder builds and owns the category strategy and savings plan, competes with vendors on commercial strategy, and influences how the business specifies and buys. Success is measured by realised cost reduction across the category and by the value the business places on Procurement’s advice.
