Job summary

Cartrefi Cymru Co is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner on a fixed-term contract to lead HR projects, advise leaders, and strengthen employee engagement across Wales. The role is based at the Cardiff office with travel to other Cartrefi Cymru sites and a 37-hour week.

The successful candidate will bring generalist HR partner experience, strong knowledge of UK employment law, and robust stakeholder management. CIPD Level 5 or equivalent is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a generalist HR Business Partner.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience managing complex employee relations cases and investigations.
• Experience leading cross-organisational HR projects.
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting HR data and metrics.
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
• Outstanding organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or above and/or CIPD membership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR projects and embed the People Strategy to achieve organisational objectives.
• Build influential relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Champion employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives across the organisation.
• Provide expert advice across the full employee lifecycle.
• Support managers through complex employee relations cases and formal procedures.
• Contribute to HR policies and procedures development and improvement.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
• Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and propose solutions.
• Act as change agent and champion for colleagues.
• Support restructuring, workforce planning and culture change initiatives.
