Job summary

Team RH in Gateshead is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support managers and leaders across the business. You’ll advise on employee relations, recruitment, reward and development, helping us build a proactive people function.

Reporting to the Head of People, you’ll partner with hiring managers from briefing through onboarding, manage casework end-to-end, and keep HR policies and pay practices current, fair and compliant.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Confidence managing employee relations casework end-to-end.
• A pragmatic, commercially-minded approach to HR advice.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and leaders across the business.
• Lead and advise on employee relations casework, coaching managers along the way.
• Partner with hiring managers on recruitment, from briefing through to onboarding.
• Support learning and development activity that helps people grow.
• Keep our HR policies, pay and benefits practices current, fair and compliant.
• Use people data to spot trends and recommend smarter ways of working.
• Support the business through change, restructures and organisational design.
• Be the go-to HR contact for your business areas, day to day.
