Job summary

Team RH is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support managers across the Gateshead office. You will lead employee relations, recruitment, learning and organisational design to build a proactive people function that scales with the business.

As a trusted advisor you will ensure policy compliance, use data to inform decisions, and support change across the organisation while fostering strong leadership relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HRBP or similar generalist HR role.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practices.
• Confident managing employee relations end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted HR partner to managers and leaders.
• Lead employee relations casework and coaching.
• Partner with hiring managers on recruitment from briefing to onboarding.
• Support learning and development activities.
• Keep policies, pay and benefits current and compliant.
• Use data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Support change, restructures and organisational design.
• Be the go-to HR contact for your business areas.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced, people-focused HR Business Partner to join us as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders across the business. You'll get stuck into everything from employee relations and recruitment to reward, learning and organisational design — helping us build a people function that's as ambitious as the rest of the business.

What You'll Do

• Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and leaders across the business.
• Lead and advise on employee relations casework, coaching managers along the way.
• Partner with hiring managers on recruitment, from briefing through to onboarding.
• Support learning and development activity that helps people grow.
• Keep our HR policies, pay and benefits practices current, fair and compliant.
• Use people data to spot trends and recommend smarter ways of working.
• Support the business through change, restructures and organisational design.
• Be the go-to HR contact for your business areas, day to day.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Confidence managing employee relations casework end-to-end.
• A pragmatic, commercially-minded approach to HR advice.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification, or equivalent experience.
