Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking an HR Advisor to support the Raunds operation on a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will partner with site leaders, provide guidance on employee relations, and help drive a positive, high-performing culture across a busy distribution environment.

The role requires strong ER expertise, union engagement experience, and the ability to use data to influence decisions. Occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience in a fast-paced operation.
• Extensive employee relations experience, handling sensitive cases.
• Experience in a unionised environment with TU engagement.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practice and employment law.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehousing or distribution is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to deliver people-focused solutions.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations and policy compliance.
• Support constructive relationships with Trade Union representatives.
• Analyse people data to inform decisions and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with Recruitment, Learning & Development and Employee Relations teams.
• Support organisational change and HR projects to enhance colleague experience.
