Job summary

Howdens Joinery in Raunds, Northamptonshire, is seeking an HR Advisor to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will provide practical HR support to operational managers, coach on employee relations, and help drive business improvements in a fast-paced warehousing environment.

You will partner with the HR Business Partner, analyse people data, work with Trade Union representatives, and travel to support wider operations as required, with some off-hours coverage and a flexible

Qualifications

• Experience in a generalist HR Advisor or HRBP role in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Significant employee relations experience with complex cases.
• Experience in a unionised environment with TU engagement and consultation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to deliver people-focused solutions.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations and ensure policy compliance.
• Build relationships with Trade Union representatives and support a positive employee relations climate.
• Analyse people data to inform decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Recruitment, L&D and Employee Relations to deliver HR services.
