Job summary

Cornwall Council is seeking an HR Advisor to contribute across Employment Strategy activities within a small, supportive team.

You will assist with trade union consultation, implementing pay awards, developing employment policies and guidance on terms and conditions, and supporting the Council's responsibilities as an employer within local authority pension schemes. This role offers broad exposure to people management disciplines and valuable learning opportunities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant HR experience and willingness to develop across specialist HR disciplines.
• Understanding of employment law, HR best practice and employee relations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build positive working relationships and influence stakeholders.
