Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced HR Adviser to join the Strategic HR Team on a 12-month fixed-term basis at Glenfield, Leicester. You will shape and deliver a varied programme of strategic HR work, including policy development, consultation, and engagement with trade unions, with a focus on Better Leicestershire and compliant policy implementation.

Work with a small specialist team, translating complex employment matters into practical solutions, managing projects

Qualifications

Experience giving practical HR advice across a range of employment matters.
Experience developing and implementing effective HR policies, procedures, guidance, processes and/or toolkits for managers and employees.
Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
Experience building working relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
Experience managing time to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Provide professional HR expertise across a varied portfolio of work.
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and guidance for managers and employees.
Lead strategic HR projects and stakeholder engagement, including trade unions.
Support delivery of the People Strategy and respond to employment law changes and HR policy updates.
