Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced HR Adviser to join the Strategic HR Team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. You will work on high-profile strategic HR projects, provide expert advice on policy, employment law and resourcing, and help shape the Council's future approach.

You will liaise with unions and partners, translate complex issues into practical solutions, and support the People Strategy as it responds to legislative changes while delivering accessible, high-quality

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or professional/management qualification, or significant relevant operational experience at an equivalent level.
• Experience of providing effective and practical HR advice and support across a range of employment matters, including organisational change, terms and conditions, recruitment and selection, attendance management, disciplinary, grievance, equality and diversity, and pay and reward.
• Experience of developing and implementing effective and practical HR policies, procedures, guidance, processes and/or toolkits for managers and employees.
• A strong understanding of employment law and case law, and HR best practice
• Experience of developing effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a project team.
• Experience of identifying customer needs and opportunities for improvement and taking action to improve service delivery, including managing your time effectively to meet deadlines

Responsabilités

• Provide professional HR expertise across a varied portfolio of work including policy development, strategic project management, consultation, trade union and stakeholder engagement.
• Contribute to the wider work of the Strategic HR Team, including delivery of the People Strategy, responding to employment law changes and emerging complex people issues.
• Support consultation and negotiation with trade unions and stakeholders.
• Translate complex HR matters into clear, practical solutions for managers and staff.
