Job summary

ABP UK is seeking a senior Learning and Development leader to design and implement UK-wide L&D programmes, aligning talent development with strategic objectives and driving a strong learning culture.

You will lead a diverse team across locations, manage the L&D budget, oversee external providers, and leverage LMS, AI-enabled learning and analytics to measure impact and ROI, driving continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-10 years in Learning & Development.
• L&D team leadership experience.
• Professional certifications in L&D or organisational development.
• Willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the UK L&D strategy within the Group framework.
• Programme Design & Delivery: Oversee creation, delivery and evaluation of training programmes and leadership development initiatives.
• Talent Development: Identify skill gaps and coach senior leaders for career development and succession planning.
• Learning Governance and Compliance: Accountable for mandatory and regulatory learning, records and reporting.
• Budget & ROI Management: Manage L&D budget and report on ROI for training initiatives.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead the L&D team across sub-functions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with functional leads, HR, site GMs and SMT to support performance.
