Job summary

UK Trade Association is recruiting for a Head of Learning and Development to lead a high‑profile portfolio, align learning with regulatory standards and drive profitable growth for members and the sector.

The role requires transforming the learning function, launching bespoke products and consultancy solutions, and leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver scalable, quality learning.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in Learning and Development or related field.
• Experience in regulated, accredited, or quality-assured environments.
• Proven commercial success growing L&D products/services profitably.
• Experience launching bespoke learning or consultancy solutions.
• Experience leading transformation across people, processes and systems.
• Able to manage a portfolio of learning products/services.
• Strong understanding of QA, assessment and regulatory requirements.
• Commercial experience including budgets, pricing, and revenue generation.

Responsibilities

• Lead L&D strategy and portfolio.
• Drive profitable growth, increase revenue, improve margins, identify opportunities.
• Develop and launch new learning products and consultancy solutions.
• Ensure portfolio meets member needs, market demand, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead transformation across people, processes, systems, and ways of working.
• Oversee digital, blended, and face-to-face learning programmes.
• Lead QA, assessment, and compliance with regulation and awarding bodies.
• Develop bespoke learning solutions for organisations and employers.
• Manage external learning partnerships including universities.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
• Take ownership of budgets, pricing, and revenue growth.
