Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager (Multi Utilities) for London, with a hybrid work model. The role focuses on leading growth, managing major accounts and shaping the regional BD strategy across Southeast and East Midlands.

You will build high-value client relationships, mentor a team of BD Managers and drive profitable bids and negotiations in a regulated infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior Business Development, Commercial or Sales leadership position.
• Strong background within utilities, infrastructure, construction or a related technical sector.
• Experience managing and developing a Business Development or Sales team.
• Strong understanding of the utilities sector, ideally across electricity, gas, heat, water, wastewater or fibre.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a strategic business development plan across the Southeast and East Midlands.
• Identify emerging market trends, new sectors and high-value commercial opportunities.
• Lead, manage and mentor a team of Business Development Managers.
• Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
• Manage major project accounts and support the delivery of high-value opportunities.
• Lead commercial discussions, pricing strategies, contract negotiations and deal structures.
• Support complex bids and tenders, working closely with design, engineering, estimating and delivery teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across business development processes and ways of working.
• Represent the business at client meetings, industry events and other strategic forums.
