Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for multi-utilities in Glasgow. You will lead strategic growth, nurture key client relationships and drive major accounts in electricity, gas, heat, water, wastewater and fibre.

Reporting into the regional leadership, you will manage and mentor a team of Business Development Managers, shape the regional strategy, lead negotiations and bids, and collaborate with design, engineering, estimating and delivery teams

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior business development or sales leadership role.
• Strong background in utilities, infrastructure, construction or related technical sector.
• Experience leading and mentoring a BD/Sales team.
• In-depth understanding of utilities sectors (electricity, gas, heat, water, wastewater or fibre).

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a strategic business development plan across the Southeast and East Midlands.
• Identify emerging market trends and high-value commercial opportunities.
• Lead, manage and mentor a team of Business Development Managers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
• Manage major project accounts and support high-value opportunities.
• Lead commercial discussions, pricing strategies, contract negotiations and deal structures.
• Support complex bids and tenders, working closely with design, engineering, estimating and delivery teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across BD processes and ways of working.
• Represent the business at client meetings, industry events and other strategic forums.
