Job summary

Hiscox in the United Kingdom seeks a Group Underwriting Performance Analyst to support underwriting reporting and drive strategic projects under the Group CUO. The role partners with business units and senior stakeholders to identify opportunities and risks and to deliver visibility for decision making.

You will own analysis from modelling to business implications, ensuring delivery of the business plan and constant course correction in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Insurance knowledge, preferably in at least two or more markets that Hiscox operates in.
• Ability to build networks with stakeholders at all levels, including business unit CUOs, that allows constructive challenge and engagement on technical topics.
• Own a piece of analysis from detailed modelling through to key “so-what” for the business.
• Strong understanding of an insurance P&L.
• Calm and effective under pressure.
• Highly organised, able to coordinate multiple tasks and activities across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support core underwriting reporting for the Group CUO.
• Deliver strategic projects and provide visibility to the Group CUO for focused conversations on key areas.
• Partner with business units and other stakeholders to identify opportunities and risks to the business plan delivery.
• Drive data-driven insights and present clear implications for decision makers.
