The role reports to the War Terrorism and Political Violence Line Underwriter and involves leading complex initiatives, mentoring colleagues, and delivering strategic underwriting

Qualifications

• Senior underwriter with expertise in London Markets and international risks
• Experience guiding junior underwriters and leading teams
• Strong ability to balance bespoke underwriting with broker relationships
• Ability to operate with high autonomy within policy frameworks

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment, pricing and negotiation of terms for complex risks in London Markets.
• Drive profitable growth through risk selection and portfolio management.
• Act as a key decision-maker balancing commercial opportunity with risk appetite.
• Mentor and develop junior underwriters and colleagues.
• Engage with global brokers and clients to build relationships and identify opportunities.
