Southport and Formby PCN is seeking a motivated General Practice Manager to lead day-to-day operations, oversee HR processes and drive strategic planning in partnership with the managing partners. You will manage performance, payroll, budget forecasting and ensure regulatory compliance, working with the PCN, ICB and PPG to improve patient care.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing large teams, project delivery, change management and a proactive, solution-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to manage a small to medium sized business.
• Educated to degree level in healthcare or business.
• Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience for financial management, including forecasting and budgeting.
• Experience of HR processes, workforce planning and development.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice and ensure staff fulfil their primary responsibilities.
• Oversee HR processes, including recruitment, checks, contractual issues, appraisals and staff performance.
• Workforce planning to ensure a good skill mix and appropriate training levels.
• Ensure employment law and legislation is adhered to.
• Liaise with the PCN and locality commissioners; attend meetings and promote collaboration.
• Provide support and advice to the partnership and keep them updated on practice matters.
• Manage payroll and pensions, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Work with Partners on financial planning, budget setting and forecasting.
• Explore opportunities to maximise income and reduce expenditure.
• Ensure QOF and commissioned service targets are met.
• Oversee significant events and complaints processes; ensure DSPT & data security compliance.
• Manage contracts and maintenance for services and equipment.
• Review and update all practice policies and procedures.
• Lead and coordinate projects within the practice.
• Oversee IT systems and DSPT compliance; ensure business continuity planning.
• Develop business cases for new services; provide project management as required.
• Ensure ongoing CQC compliance and NHSE contractual obligations.
