Job summary

Boots is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to lead planning and analysis within the FP&A team based in Nottingham, Beeston. You will shape financial strategy and support executive decision-making to influence how we plan for the future.

Reporting to the Head of Finance: FP&A, you will oversee the annual 3-Year Plan, Budget and Forecast processes, collaborating with Boots UK finance teams and providing reporting to the Executive Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong Excel skills with ability to handle complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across teams.
• Strong leadership with ability to challenge and influence.
• Strategic thinking and ability to turn data into insights.
• Collaborative, inclusive working style.
• Ability to take ownership and propose solutions in a complex business environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A activity, including the 3-Year Plan and Budget processes.
• Provide FP&A support across planning and reporting on cost lines.
• Coordinate planning activity and design internal processes to meet deadlines.
• Identify performance trends and translate analysis into insights for target setting.
• Provide insightful reporting to improve understanding of performance and opportunities.
• Deliver regular and ad hoc reporting to the Executive Leadership Team.
• Build relationships with finance teams across Boots UK and beyond, influencing and challenging where needed.
• Mentor a Senior Finance Analyst and develop the team.
• Utilise Excel and analytics to turn complex data into clear recommendations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across planning, reporting, and insight processes.
