Job summary

AO is seeking an FP&A Manager based in Bolton to lead group forecasting, budgeting and financial planning, delivering robust plans and challenging assumptions with senior leaders.

You will consolidate Group P&Ls, balance sheets and cashflows, produce board-ready reporting and develop financial models and KPI dashboards. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with line management responsibility for an FP&A Analyst.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Significant FP&A experience in a large, multi-divisional business.
• Strong technical expertise across forecasting, budgeting and group consolidations.
• Advanced Excel skills and robust financial models.
• Experience producing reporting for executive and board audiences.
• Inquisitive, credible and able to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver at pace with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own the Group forecasting and budgeting process with robust, evidence-based plans.
• Lead consolidation of Group P&Ls, balance sheets and cashflows.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities and explain drivers behind performance.
• Challenge assumptions and improve forecast quality through stakeholder engagement.
• Produce weekly Group forecast reporting and support CFO board reporting.
• Prepare board papers and executive reporting with actionable insights.
• Partner with senior leaders to support decision-making.
• Develop financial models, dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Lead and develop an FP&A Analyst.
• Deliver high-value analysis supporting strategic priorities.
