Job summary

Chetwood Bank in Manchester seeks a Financial Analysis Manager to shape financial strategy, manage the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Rolling Operating Plan (ROP) and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will develop financial models, perform variance and profitability analyses, and present insights to senior leadership and the board.

Collaboration with Credit Risk and Commercial is essential, along with regulatory compliance and tool enhancements like Anaplan.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional qualification or studying towards CFA/CIMA/ACA.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in banking/FS.
• Advanced Excel skills for complex modelling and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP/FP&A tools and data visualization tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight timescales.

Responsibilities

• Lead AOP and ROP planning and quarterly forecasts.
• Perform variance, profitability, and trend analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial models for long-term planning.
• Collaborate with Credit Risk and Commercial for data and assumptions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for leadership and board.
• Monitor KPIs and operational metrics; propose improvements.
• Evaluate new business initiatives with cost-benefit and ROI.
• Oversee FP&A tools and systems implementations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and internal policies.
• Develop expertise in Anaplan for data integration and scenario modeling.
