Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with proven experience at FD level.

• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively with business owners.
• Experience within construction sector or logistics/operational environment would be advantageous.
• Comfortable embracing new technology and supporting the introduction of AI across the business.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the finance function, ensuring strong financial control and reporting.
• Provide commercial insight to support business performance, profitability and growth.
• Work closely with the owners and senior management team on strategic decision-making.
• Drive improvements across finance processes, systems and reporting.
• Support the business in identifying and implementing AI initiatives and new technology to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Provide robust cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Challenge and support the wider business, using financial information to improve performance.
• Maintain a hands-on approach while developing the finance function as the business continues to grow.
