Job summary

Safran is seeking an External Supply Planner in the UK to oversee ERP-driven supply plans with external suppliers, ensuring material availability to meet production needs. You will address risks, capacity constraints and schedule adherence while collaborating with internal stakeholders to align material plans with the production plan.

The role focuses on tactical supplier management, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement within the External Supply Chain team.

Qualifications

Experience with ERP-based material scheduling in regulated industries.
Experience in production or material scheduling for technically complex environments.
Familiarity with supplier capacity and delivery performance tracking.
Supply chain risk management experience including mitigation.

Responsibilities

Interpret and action MRP outputs to create, adjust, and expedite purchase orders and supplier schedules.
Be the first point of contact for daily operational matters with assigned suppliers; communicate schedule changes.
Assess supplier capacity vs forecast and identify bottlenecks early; support contingency planning.
Track supplier on-time delivery and delivery quality; maintain performance data dashboards.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align material plans with final assembly requirements.
Maintain ERP planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock); support root cause analysis.
Identify and propose process improvements to enhance supplier collaboration and ERP usage.
